The CrazyDrill Crosspilot from Mikron Tool is a coated solid carbide drill designed for steel, stainless steel, titanium, and non-ferrous metals, and is a unique specialist for drilling on inclined, convex, and concave surfaces. It can directly machine pilot holes on surfaces with inclination angles up to 60°, which do not correspond to DIN center holes, since circular chamfers cannot be applied on inclined surfaces.
This means that the solid carbide drill reduces the previously required three steps (milling – centering – drilling) down to two steps, while ensuring higher precision thanks to excellent guidance. Its compact and robust design provides outstanding positioning accuracy, and its geometry is specifically engineered for extreme applications.
The 170° point angle of CrazyDrill Crosspilot ensures stability for subsequent drills, preventing cutting edge breakage.
